I received my undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. My internships were performed at the City of Roseville Police Department in Roseville, CA, and the White House Counseling Center in Carmichael, CA. Currently I practice in midtown Sacramento, CA, where I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families.
My experience includes working in school settings with students who have struggled with anxiety, depression, cutting, suicidal ideation, and aggression. I also have worked with adults, couples, families, and the elderly who have experienced depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, and grief during their life.
I continue to take classes, workshops, and seminars focusing on individual psychotherapy, family and couples counseling, as well as neuroscience and psychopharmacology in order to stay abreast in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. Education is very important to me in order to provide the best possible service to my clients.
Please feel free to call me if you have questions about my background or therapy style. I am happy to answer your questions.
